CFCE Urbanathlon Training Week 1





Below is a look at the CFCE Training Week 1 for the Urbanathlon.
These workouts will be posted individually on this blog so that times and
comments can be posted. We just wanted to give you an overview for the week.

Tuesday August 24, 2010

Intervals

All Athletes - 10 x 200m Sprints - 1 Min. rest between rounds
Should hold within a 5 sec. range for all runs.


Thursday August 26, 2010

Tempo - Baseline

All Athletes - 5k
Everyone should do this run in order to see where they stand
and establish a baseline in order to compare later in the program.

Sat./Sun. August 28/29, 2010

Distance

SC/Relay - 2 Miles - 1 UES
LC/Solo - 4 Miles - 2 UES

UES = Urbanathlon Exercise Sets
10 T Push-ups
10 Sit-ups
10 Lunges
10 Squat Jumps

These sets are to be broken up throughout the run with the last set
occuring at the end of the run. The idea is to mimic the flow of the
Urbanathlon race. We will discuss this more during class on Tue.
and Thurs at 6pm at the LP box.
