CrossFit Chicago Endurance Program

"Fast Track"

The CrossFit Chicago Endurance (CFCE) program's next "Fast Track" series of four classes will be starting soon. This class is geared towards anyone who:

  • Desires to increase their running efficiency;

  • Wants to avoid running injuries;

  • Would like to train with the CFCE on a regular basis;

  • Is curious about CrossFit Endurance and what it is all about; and/or

  • Is preparing to compete in an endurance event or has a goal to do one in the future.
We will be covering a wide range of topics, including running efficiency (emphasis on the POSE method), endurance nutrition, shoe selection, designing a training program using CrossFit Endurance, stretching and warm-up techniques along with injury prevention. We will also be doing personal video running analysis of your gait during the series. At the completion of the program, you will likely see an improvement in your running efficiency, which will allow you to go faster and further with less chance of injury.

Please note, in order to train with the regular CFCE group you must take this introductory class. This will bring new CrossFit Endurance athletes up to speed and allow regularly CFCE classes to operate at a higher level. For those who have already completed an introductory series of classes with Rudy, or Erin and Mike, you will not have to take this class.

The class will meet at 7 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at CrossFit Chicago - Lincoln Park. Attendance is mandatory so if you absolutely cannot make a class it is your responsibility to schedule a time with either Erin or Mike to review the information.

The fee for the "Fast Track" series is $50.

CFCE Program

Now that the CFCE program is evolving, we would like to take the training to a higher level. As a part of the program the coaches are now going to place a higher emphasis on athlete's goals and performance. If you are going to be a part of the CFCE program, you will have the following items available to you:

  • Unlimited CFCE Classes (Classes will follow the current format with more emphasis on efficiency and performance. Also select topics from CrossFit Endurance (CFE) will be incorporated into classes);

  • Video Running Analysis;

  • Personal Training Programs - Developed on an individual basis with a CFCE Coach;

  • Access to Coaches for one-on-one sessions as needed; and

  • Ability to Race with CFCE at Local Events.

The regular CFCE class time will remain at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Although many classes will continue to be at CrossFit Chicago -Lincoln Park, we are going to meet at other training locations to provide some variety. As we go forward, please provide suggestions on places you would like to see classes held.

The fee to be a member of the CFCE program will be $40/month (Discounts for CFC members). At the beginning of each month, let one of the CFCE coaches know if you want to be a part of the program for that month. There will also be $10/drop-in rate if you'd rather not sign up for the month but pay by the class instead. All member and drop-ins must have completed an "Fast Track."

Please email Erin at erin@crossfitchicago.com or Mike at mike@crossfitchicago.com with any questions.

  1. Nice! I strongly taking the on ramp course. Having done it myself I can't stress how important it is to learn technique and efficiency before engaging in the CFE WODs. Luckily for us we have some really great and knowledgable coaches on staff!
